FORT MYERS — John Henry paid more for Triple-A outfielder Rusney Castillo than he did the Boston Globe.
At least the Globe delivers.
A $72.5 million bust, Castillo couldn’t even run out a ground ball in the very first Red Sox exhibition of the year — against a college team, no less.
The Sox won 9-6 over Northeastern at JetBlue Park, despite Castillo’s mistake in the third inning on a one-out grounder to short.
Castillo, who cost $2.5 million more than the purchase price of the Globe, is already off the 40-man roster with a bleak future in Boston.
