It’s not often that American League East teams make trades within the division, but the Red Sox are searching for any help they can get.
Still tinkering with their roster, the Sox are set to acquire 31-year-old outfielder Alejandro De Aza from the Baltimore Orioles, according to Fox Sports.
The Red Sox have not confirmed the report, but manager John Farrell hinted before the team’s 1:35 p.m. game against the Twins that the club had added another outfielder.
“There’s no move to announce right now, but the best thing I can say is that [general manager Ben Cherington] is always looking for ways to improve the roster and looks at every opportunity to do that,” Farrell said.
