After a homestand that began with manager John Farrell's disclosure that he has Stage 1 lymphoma and would be taking a medical leave of absence and featured a drastic reorganization of the front office with the hiring of new president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski and the resignation of general manager Ben Cherington, the Sox couldn't be blamed for racing to the airport Sunday night and getting out of Dodge before anything else could occur.
