Red Sox walk off vs. Astros on Moreland's hit

BOSTON -- Mitch Moreland blooped a walk-off single into left, giving the Red Sox a 6-5 victory that prevented them from getting swept by the Astros on Sunday night.

The win put Boston's magic number at one for clinching a postseason berth and 12 for winning the American League East.

Andrew Benintendi started the winning rally when he belted a one-out single to left. Xander Bogaerts capped a 4-for-4 night with a single to center. That set up Moreland, who got enough of a 2-1 offering from Hector Rondon to dump it in front of left fielder Marwin Gonzalez, as pinch-runner Tzu-Wei Lin raced in to end it.
