Does any struggling Red Sox player get talked about less than Dustin Pedroia when he’s in a slump? Conversely, does any steaming-hot Red Sox player get less credit than Pedroia when he’s raking?
The everyday second baseman is back to All-Star form (even if he is currently fifth in the American League voting), and with four hits in the Red Sox’ 6-3 win over the Twins in the first of two games yesterday he temporarily pushed his average back to .300. A 1-for-4 performance in the nightcap left him at .299 entering Thursday’s afternoon game, but the point shouldn’t be lost: Pedroia is on fire.
