Red Sox vs. Braves lineups: Sox draw Smyly, face reality

If either of the last two episodes of the Over the Monster Podcast hadn’t been eaten by wolves, you’d already know we thought the Sox’s division lead was wobbly. Particularly, Nick Pivetta’s peripherals told a story his results didn’t and as he went, so went the Red Sox.

Well, that narrative is extremely real tonight as the Sox face the Braves behind Tricky Nick (7:10 p.m., NESN). Boston could use a win, bad, and one of the Good Results games from Pivetta would be appreciated. Last time out was an inversion of the Pivetta narrative—he pitched well and had a bad line—and I humbly suggest we re-invert that, and get back to the business of being lucky.
