The Red Sox and Twins were expected to begin their series in Minnesota on Monday, but that will no longer be the case. Just a few minutes prior to when first pitch was supposed to take place the players came off the field and the game was postponed. There is some rain in the forecast for the afternoon, but that is not the reason for the postponement. As of this writing, there is no official statement on the move, but Dave O’Brien on NESN indicated that the Twins will soon release a statement saying this is not weather-related.
