The Red Sox made another trade on Saturday, sending relief pitcher Cam Booser to the White Sox in exchange for minor league pitching prospect Yhoiker Fajardo.
Booser is 32 years old, but only made his MLB debut in 2024 with the Red Sox, following a unique run through the minor leagues. He appeared in 43 games for Boston, commanding a 3.38 ERA in that span.
The return for Booser, Fajardo, is 18 years old and an intriguing pitching prospect to add to Boston’s pipeline. The 6-foot-3 Venezuelan is already pitching 95 miles per hour and has only scratched the surface of his development.
