In addition to the heartache of another losing season in 2015, Red Sox fans in the New England area also had to deal with their beloved play-by-play man Don Orsillo moving on from the Sox’ flagship television NESN. Orsillo spent 15 years bringing the ups and downs of the Red Sox into New England homes. He has now been hired by the Padres to broadcast their games.
Filling the void he left on NESN is now Dave O’Brien, long time ESPN announcer and the voice of the Red Sox on the radio with partner Joe Castiglione since 2007.
