Red Sox swept by Twins, sink to 5 games below .500

MINNEAPOLIS -- John Henry is fond of saying he wishes he could put 25 Dustin Pedroias on the field.

The Red Sox owner might want to give serious thought to cloning.

Unfortunately for the Sox, there is only one Dustin Pedroia. And although the second baseman belted a pair of two-run homers here today, the Sox still lost, 6-4, and got swept out of the Land of 10,000 Lakes in a three-game series against the upstart Twins.

It marked Minnesota's first sweep of the Sox since June 13-15, 2006 at the Metrodome.
