The Red Sox are starting to pitch like a team that can pull itself out of the AL East cellar.
As for the hitting? Well, sometimes.
The Sox received two strong starting performances in yesterday’s doubleheader against the Minnesota Twins, but their offense only showed up in the opener as they earned the split, winning the first game, 6-3, before succumbing in the second, 2-0.
In his second start, Eduardo Rodriguez dazzled again on the mound in the afternoon game, striking out seven batters in seven innings with just one run, two hits and two walks allowed.
