The Red Sox and right-handed reliever Adam Ottavino have agreed to a minor deal with a spring training invite, according to New York Post columnist Jon Heyman.
The 39-year-old Ottavino spent the last three seasons with the Mets. Prior to that, he spent one season with Boston in 2021.
Last season, the Northeastern alum pitched in 60 games for the Mets, collecting 70 strikeouts in 56 innings and posting a 4.34 ERA. Overall, Ottavino’s ERA with the Mets was 3.14.
