The Red Sox are still exploring pitching options this offseason, just not the big-name starters many believed they might pursue.
According to MassLive’s Chris Cotillo, Boston is interested in a pair of free agent relief pitchers, Jakob Junis and Ryne Stanek, to add to their bullpen.
Earlier on Saturday, The Boston Globe‘s Alex Speier reported that the Red Sox aren’t willing to pursue long-term deals with Jordan Montgomery and Blake Snell.
Montgomery and Boston have been linked all offseason, given his stay in the city while his wife completes a residency in the area.
