The Red Sox’ next wave of top talent is moving up within the team’s farm system.
According to The Boston Globe’s Alex Speier, Boston’s top three prospects — shortstop Marcelo Mayer, catcher Kyle Teel, and outfielder Roman Anthony — have all been promoted to Triple-A Worcester.
All three blue-chip prospects have spent the entire season together as teammates in Double-A Portland, with their camaraderie making their collective leap to baseball’s next level even sweeter.
