The Red Sox placed Jackie Bradley Jr. on the paternity list prior to Tuesday's game in Baltimore against the Orioles.
To take his place on the roster, the Sox recalled Rusney Castillo from Pawtucket. Castillo will be active for Tuesday's game.
Castillo has been in Pawtucket since early April. He played in one game for the Red Sox early in the season.
In 37 International League games this season, the right-handed hitter has a .241 average (35-for-145) with eight doubles, one home run, 13 RBI, and three stolen bases while appearing in center field (24 games), left field (eight games), and right field (six games).
