The Red Sox have suffered another injury, this one to their newest player. Just a few days after making his Red Sox debut, Ian Kinsler tweaked his hamstring on Friday night against the Yankees. It’s not entirely clear when it happened — either stealing second base or running from second to home to score on a base hit — but it happened. Due to the hamstring issue, the veteran second baseman is being placed on the 10-day disabled list. Triple-A infielder Tony Renda will take his spot on the active roster, and Dustin Pedroia has been transferred to the 60-day disabled list to make room for Renda on the 40-man roster.
