FORT MYERS — On the first day of his final Red Sox spring training, David Ortiz slipped into an all-white uniform and made his way to the JetBlue Park outfield for a photo shoot with David Price.
Back in 2014, these two players were heated rivals, with Ortiz going as far as saying he no longer had any respect for Price after the lefty plunked him at Fenway Park. Ortiz declared, “It’s a war.”
But the war must have ended when Price signed a seven-year, $217 million contract this offseason to be Ortiz’ teammate.
