CHICAGO — Pablo Sandoval will reclaim his starting job, but with a caveat.
This time he will have to platoon.
Sandoval returned to the Red Sox lineup last night for the first time since April, starting as the designated hitter and going 3-for-4 while regular DH Hanley Ramirez was rested in the Red Sox’ 4-1 win over the Chicago White Sox.
“Happy to be back, especially when you miss a lot of time, like almost a month, happy to be back,” Sandoval said. “Happiness is the only thing to say.
