For now, the Red Sox are keeping David Price on a five-day schedule.
But that could change if they decide he’s better suited to return to the Red Sox out of relief.
Price, out since late July with soreness related to a tear in his elbow he’s dealt with since spring training, pitched off the mound at Fenway Park yesterday for two simulated innings.
“A good step in his progression to game activity,” manager John Farrell said. “At a minimum, he’ll go through another sim game situation in the coming days, four or five days from now.
