NEW YORK — Blake Swihart cranked a pair of fastballs over the short right field porch in Yankee Stadium last night, giving the 23-year-old rookie three home runs in three days. He had hit just two in the previous 148 days.
“I think he needs a urine test,” Red Sox hitting coach Chili Davis joked after Swihart’s big night led the Sox to a 10-4 win against the Yankees. “I don’t know where the hell that power came from. He keeps telling me he has some pop, but I don’t know. What is that three in three days?
