While the Red Sox middle relief has been generally very good, we can’t say the same about the back-end of the bullpen, and Kenley Jansen in particular. The closer has yet to blow a save this season, but is also struggling to find his control. He thinks he’s found something/someone to blame, though: the baseballs. (Julian McWilliams, Boston Globe)
Tyler O’Neill has been doing his part to help Kenley, though, by removing as many balls from game play as possible. The right fielder currently leads the Majors in home runs. (Peter Abraham, Boston Globe)
While Triston Casas doesn’t lead the Majors in homers, he does seem to aiming to lead the league in home run distance.
