Bullet dodged (for now). As was reported during last night’s game, Garrett Whitlock was removed not because of any arm concerns, but because he felt some tightness in his oblique. Whitlock spoke to the press after the game and indicated that the move was purely precautionary and that he’s “not worried” about it. (Christopher Smith, MassLive)
And here’s some more best-case scenario news! Tyler O’Neill did not suffer a concussion after his nasty collision with Rafael Devers during the Patriots Day game against the Guardians. He will likely miss at least one more game, though, as he recovers from the blow.
