Man, just last week we were celebrating David Hamilton Day, and now we’re once again monitoring an injury. The Red Sox shortstop left last night’s win against the Toronto Blue Jays with “left side discomfort.” Thankfully, that sounds pretty mild and, as it is, the team is hoping to avoid an IL stint. Even if it is a mild tweak, though, damn is this bad timing. Hamilton has legitimately been one of the most productive players in baseball over the last month. He chalks up his incredible turnaround in performance to confidence.
