Earlier in the offseason, we noted that there seemed to be a bit of rift in the front office, with Alex Bregman being one of the biggest flashpoints. If reports were to be believed, Alex Cora and Sam Kennedy were pushing hard to add the Astros infielder, while Craig Breslow was against the move. Almost two months later, it seems this divide still persists. The Globe now reports that Breslow is more or less content to enter the season with the roster as is, believing that the outsized potential of rookies Roman Anthony, Kristian Campbell, and Marcelo Mayer will adequately boost the offense.
