It was a brutal day for the PawSox offense, as the lone run came on a solo shot from Mike Olt. Beyond that, the team had just two other singles and got no hits and one walk from the first five spots in the lineup. On the other side, the pitching was solid, though it was headlined by a lackluster Thornburg appearance. It was his first time pitching in back-to-back games in this rehab stint. Haley has been someone I’ve been watching closely all year and think he’s more likely to get a spot start for the major-league club than he’s given credit for.
