Tzu-Wei Lin, SS: 1-5, 1 K
Dan Butler, C: 2-4, 1 RBI, 1 K
Beeks is back. The lefty was disappointing in his major-league debut, but given the stage and the adrenaline that was surely rushing through his body, it’s probably not fair to make any real judgements on his talent based on one major-league start. Still, there was a little concern on my part that the bad start would snowball when he got back to Triple-A, but he was able to avoid that. It was another outstanding day for Beeks.
Jeremy Rivera, SS: 0-4, 1 K
Chad De La Guerra, 2B: 0-4, 2 K
Josh Ockimey, 1B: 2-4, 1 2B, 2 K
Tate Matheny, CF: 0-4, 1 K
Jhon Nunez, C: 3-3, 1 CS
Teddy Stankiewicz: 6 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 BB, 2 K (89 pitches)
It was a rough day for the Portland offense, but the good news is Ockimey being back in the lineup.
