This was a solid, balanced attack for Pawtucket at the plate to get eight runs across, with Witte carrying the biggest portion of the load. It’s Cuevas I want to focus on, however, because the 27-year-old just continues to impress in 2018. He’s earned a spot on the 40-man already and has a 3.45 ERA on the year in Pawtucket. With Jalen Beeks now in Tampa Bay and the team down an optionable starting pitcher for 2019, I’m really interested to see if they can find a way to keep Cuevas around on next year’s roster.
