The PawSox lost this game, but the takeaways were mostly positive from the bullpen. That of course starts with Eovaldi, who made his first and likely last rehab assignment on Thursday. He’s unlikely to be activated on Friday since he won’t be pitching back-to-back days right away, but he could very well be ready to go Saturday. He looked good in this outing and reportedly felt good, providing a little optimism he could indeed be the answer this Red Sox bullpen was seeking.
