The accolades keep on rolling in for Red Sox breakout prospect Kristian Campbell.
The 22-year-old Campbell was named Baseball America’s “Prospect of the Year” for the 2024 season on Tuesday — the latest honor for a player whose stock has soared over the summer.
A fourth-round pick in the 2023 draft out of Georgia Tech, Campbell has gone from a projected utility bat at the big-league level into a potential force at the plate in record time.
He slashed .330/.439/.558 with 20 homers and 24 steals in 115 games over three stints in High-A Greenville, Double-A Portland, and Triple-A Worcester this season.
