ANAHEIM, Calif. -- It might’ve helped if Hanley Ramirez ran a little harder toward a single in left field and made a quicker throw to at least try to stop the Angels from scoring their first run on Monday afternoon.
It definitely would’ve helped had Ramirez not stumbled after a line drive and made a last-second lunge as a double soared just over his head for the Angels’ second run.
But it still wouldn’t have been enough for the Red Sox, not when Eduardo Rodriguez was mysteriously getting whacked around as if the Angels knew what was coming.
