LOS ANGELES -- Just as he did six days prior, David Price had it in cruise control, dotting his fastball and dropping his breaking and off-speed stuff seemingly wherever he pleased.
And then, out of nowhere just like six days prior, he never saw the steep speed bump and bottomed out, careening the Boston Red Sox toward another damaging loss. This one was an 8-5 defeat to the Los Angeles Dodgers in Sunday’s series finale at Dodger Stadium, dropping the Red Sox to 5-6 on their 11-game West Coast swing and three games behind the Baltimore Orioles in the American League East standings.
