BOSTON -- While Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell had nothing but good news to offer regarding Craig Kimbrel's recovery from left knee surgery before Saturday’s game against the Minnesota Twins, his tone on the status of fellow reliever Koji Uehara was much more uncertain.
Uehara received a platelet-rich plasma injection on Friday, which Farrell said will require downtime for him to recover from. The 41-year-old was placed on the disabled list on July 20 with a right pectoral strain.
