Red Sox fans may hear an ominous noise emanating from their radios during Tuesday’s series opener against the Yankees. But there’s no need to adjust the dials. What you’re hearing is normal.
John Sterling, the longtime voice of the rival Yankees, will take over the call of the game on WEEI for the fourth inning.
In exchange, Red Sox play-by-play announcer Joe Castiglione will head to the WFAN booth to call the game for Yankees fans. First pitch is scheduled to get underway at 1:05 p.m.
Make sure you tune in a week from today for the “Rivalry In The Booth” when Joe joins Suzyn Waldman on @WFAN660 & @Yankees radio and John Sterling joins me on @WEEI & @RedSox radio during the 4th inning.
