Obviously we do not have a typical baseball calendar this year due to the lockout, and so the deadline for teams and players to exchange arbitration figures was on Tuesday. Boston had five arbitration-eligible players who had yet to agree to a contract — Kevin Plawecki and Ryan Brasier had both agreed to terms well prior to the deadline — and the big news coming out of the day was that the Red Sox and Rafael Devers did not agree to a deal to avoid arbitration.
