Red Sox expect Brock Holt to be OK after hurting left knee

Brock Holt was seen limping on the field again, but the tough-nosed utility man stayed in the game for four more innings.

Rounding first base casually after a single to center in the first inning, Holt’s left leg appeared to buckle. He grimaced as he limped back to the bag. Sox manager John Farrell ran out with the trainer, but Holt remained in the game, grounding out in the third inning and whacking another single to center in the fifth until he was replaced by Jemile Weeks. Weeks, who had been recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket Sunday afternoon, replaced Holt at second base to start the sixth.
