Some of the best individual seasons in MLB history have been by Red Sox, whether it was Ted Williams hitting over .400 in 1941 or Pedro Martinez winning back-to-back Cy Young awards in 1999 and 2000 (to say nothing of Cy Young, the person, who pitched for the Red Sox starting in the late 1800s).
