The game after the Red Sox’ bats came alive on an evening honoring David Ortiz, they came back a little too late last night.
David Price could only do so much. Even John Farrell did his best to help the cause, but to no avail.
The Red Sox couldn’t solve Angels starter J.C. Ramirez. They made a convincing bid in the ninth inning, chasing Cam Bedrosian from the game and putting the potential winning run at the plate, but they lost, 6-3, to Los Angeles at Fenway Park.
After they put just one runner on from the third to eighth innings, the Sox trailed, 6-1, going into the ninth and put a scare into the Angels.
