Red Sox call up infielder Tzu-Wei Lin from Double-A Portland: 'I can't believe it'

Tzu-Wei Lin was beaming with happiness, and was still in a state of somewhat shock, as he arrived to Fenway Park on Saturday afternoon.

Lin, the utility infielder who's been tearing it up for Double-A Portland this season, got a call from manager Carlos Febles to inform him of a call-up. But he wasn't going to Pawtucket. He was heading to the big leagues.

In a bit of an unforeseen move, the Red Sox called up the 23-year-old Lin on Saturday, as the team's infield depth continued to take a hit. To make room for him, Brock Holt was transferred to the 60-day disabled list.
