The future of the Red Sox’ lineup flexed their muscles Thursday night in Port Charlotte, Florida, as Boston’s “Big Three” prospects in Roman Anthony, Kristian Campbell, and Marcelo Mayer all homered during the Red Sox’ Spring Breakout game against the Rays.

While Boston eventually came up short, 7-5, to Tampa in the annual prospect showcase, the Red Sox’ projected pillars for the future all impressed at Charlotte Sports Park.

Campbell (MLB.com’s No. 7 prospect) and Mayer (No. 12 prospect) kicked things off in the top of the third inning — with Campbell swatting an opposite-field, two-run homer to right off of Tampa prospect Trevor Harrison.
