BOSTON -- Just after Steven Wright gave up a four-spot in the top of the first inning against the Mariners on Friday night at Fenway Park, the Red Sox provided a resounding answer with five runs in their half of the first.
It didn't take long to realize that the 1-0 duel that Wright and Mariners lefty Wade LeBlanc staged six days ago would not be mirrored in any way, shape or form in the Fenway rematch.
At Safeco Field last week, the Red Sox had just two hits off LeBlanc in 7 2/3 innings.
