The Red Sox can take a series win against the Yankees tonight, and get revenge for last night’s sad, soaked, six-inning excuse for a game, when they square off tonight on the Worldwide Leader (7:08 p.m., ESPN).
Yesterday was preposterous, and it got off to a weird start early when it was revealed Xander Bogaerts had an off day. Today he does not have an off day, so perhaps today will not be preposterous or weird. The Sox are still undefeated against the Yankees in nine-inning games this year, so that’s kinda important to keep going, which they can do tonight behind Martín Pérez.
