DJ LeMahieu sprained his left thumb during the fourth inning of last nights game and was placed on the 10-day IL. As a result, the Yankees lineup has been shuffled around a bit. Miguel Andújar was recalled today and Tyler Wade will fill in for LeMahieu tonight. LeMahieu was leading the American League in hitting and on-base percentage, but Aaron Hicks is more than capable of being a good lead-off man. As for Tyler Wade, he’s a perfectly fine backup utility player. It is a testament to the Yankees depth that they’re able to lose their three best offensive players in Stanton, Judge, and Lemahieu and still put out a lineup this potent.
