The Red Sox (15-18) look to build on Chris Sale’s return to form when they face the White Sox (14-16) on the South Side of Chicago at 7:10 p.m. looking to go up 2-1 in the season series.
Michael Chavis has been the story of the last two weeks, and he gets a new position in today’s lineup. He’ll play first base against Chicago lefty Manny Bañuelos, who faces a Sox lineup with many players out of their regular spots. Not only is Chavis at firsti (and batting fifth!), Andrew Benintendi’s in center field and Steve Pearce is in left, with Jackie Bradley Jr.
