The Red Sox are riding high after a late-game comeback led to victory on Thursday, but the pitching simply needs to be better. They have a good chance at getting back on track against a subpar Tigers lineup, but it’s not as easy as just beating bad competition. You still have to pitch well, which is the goal for Eduardo Rodriguez. The team could really use a deep start from the lefty as well after almost the entire bullpen was deployed in the previous game.
