We all know by now that the Red Sox are in the middle of their most important stretch of the season as they try to figure out if they are still true contenders or if it might be time to start looking towards 2020. They got off to a good start in this crucial two-week slate of games, winning big in Tampa Bay for the first game of a three-game set. They’ve had big, important wins throughout this season, though. The difficult part of the year for the 2019 Red Sox has been to take momentum from these kinds of wins and turn it into extended win streaks against good teams.
