The Red Sox head down to Texas tonight (8:05 p.m., NESN) to face the Rangers behind longtime Ranger Martín Pérez.
The Sox are riding high off a two-game sweep of the Mets during which they scored a whopping three runs, but we’ll take it! All respect due to Pérez, but this matchup—and series—point toward the run-scoring type of baseball at which the Red Sox excel, so I’d expect a return to the norm, likely starting tonight.
The Rangers lineup features Joey Gallo, Destroyer of Worlds, though he’s not destroying very much this year, and very few of the Rangers are doing so in his stead.
