The Red Sox are coming off a close win on Saturday and now will be looking to continue in their role as the spoiler with another win on Sunday. The Phillies need wins right now to stay in wildcard contention, and it’s the Red Sox job to make that as difficult as possible. Gotta have something to play for, ya know?
Anyway, they’ll have Rick Porcello on the mound, who is also playing for a contract next year. The season as a whole has been too disappointing for these final couple weeks to really make a difference, but going out on a high note certainly couldn’t hurt.
