The two best teams played three excellent games: There was a bit of an October feel to the series, in part because of the weather that suddenly turned cooler in New England. The games were more important for the Astros with the A's breathing down their necks, but this was still a statement kind of series.
The best part was MVP candidates doing MVP things. Alex Bregman had two hits, a walk and two runs on Friday and homered on Saturday.
