In the first annual Red Sox Winter Weekend last January, Dustin Pedroia proclaimed he wanted to play 162 games, Joe Kelly predicted he’d win the American League Cy Young Award and Pablo Sandoval saw snow for the first time in his life.
The entire Red Sox’ roster was invited to attend and most showed up to Foxwoods Casino, spending two days signing autographs and interacting with fans and a celebratory event that served as a kickoff to spring training.
It was considered a large success in the Red Sox’ eyes, which is why they’re bringing it back again next year, the club announced on Monday.
