What were we expecting from this game...well, we were hoping to recover from a sweep at the hands of those vile Dodgers. It was an opportunity to learn what Tanner Time might look like in the second half, to hopefully revel in another special performance by Jarren Duran, and to get a look at potential trade target Brendan Rodgers.
Duran came in with a five-game extra-base hit streak, hitting .571 with an OPS of 1.704. Heart emoji eyes! As for Houck, the Red Sox were 9-1 in his previous 10 starts. Star emoji eyes and a tsunami!
